Bio

As an actor myself, I understand the importance of getting that one shot that will sell you the best. We're talking about your dreams, your goals – none of which should be taken lightly by either one of us. In order to get a great photo of someone, a photographer needs to have two abilities: a creative eye and a natural dynamic skill of bringing the real you out to play. I believe I can do both and as an artist that's a wonderful challenge and accomplishment.

I'm originally from a small town in Illinois . After 17 years of cornfields and cows, I moved to Chicago to study theater at Northwestern University . After graduation, I packed up my car and drove to California , arriving with $70 left in my pocket. After years of being a painter and sketch artist, I decided to take up photography as a way to use my talent in a new medium.

Now, with digital photography being the norm in the entertainment industry – there are many “photographers” who think they know how to take a headshot. But a headshot is a very specific thing. After meeting with different agents and casting directors, I've tailored my shots to satisfy what they're looking for. The result is a clean professional shot showing you at your best. I also include retouching on your final shots, which will save you money at the printers.

I wish you the best of luck in following your dream and the ability to accept each moment with an open heart.

Preparation

I prefer to meet with you beforehand to discuss what our objectives are for the shoot. It's important that we both feel comfortable with each other and also have a clear idea of what you need. At this time we will also discuss clothing, hair & makeup, image and package options.
